Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Switch off and unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. Clean the inside with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not use detergents, abrasive powders, or highly perfumed cleaning products. For the exterior, use warm water with a little washing-up liquid.
Dusting the Condenser
An accumulation of dust will affect the performance of the appliance and increase electricity consumption. Once or twice a year, dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner.
Temperature Setting
Use the thermostat control to set the desired temperature. The intermediate position (3-4) is usually the most suitable. Adjust the slider control situated at the rear of the fridge compartment to regulate air circulation.
Avoiding Frequent Door Openings
Do not open the refrigerator door frequently or leave it open longer than necessary to maintain the correct internal temperature and energy efficiency.
Positioning
The appliance should be positioned away from cookers, radiators, or boilers. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. After installation, leave the appliance for 2 hours before turning it on to allow the refrigerant to settle.
